Target Age Group

The Tolet app is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not designed for or intended for children or minors under the age of 18. If you are under 18, please do not use the app or provide any personal information.

• Name, email address, phone number, and gender (for account creation, verification, and communication)
• City of residence (to personalize your experience and display relevant sessions and hosts)
• Profile photo and summary (optional – to personalize your public profile)
• Location data (coordinates and address – when creating or browsing meetup sessions and host venues)
• Session and booking history (to track your participation, reviews, and transactions)
• Device information and session tokens (for login, push notifications, and security)
• Photos and media (optional – session images, host gallery photos, and certification documents)
• In-app chat messages (optional – between session participants via Firebase Firestore)
• Reviews and ratings (to provide feedback on sessions and hosts)
• Contact-us messages (when you reach out to our support team)
• OTP codes (for phone number and email verification during login and registration)

We Never Collect

• Payment card information or any electronic payment details stored on our servers.
• Biometric data (fingerprints, face scans, etc.).

How Do We Use Your Data?

• To create and manage your account
• To facilitate meetup session bookings and participation
• To display host venues, locations on maps, and session details
• To send push notifications about session updates, bookings, and important announcements
• To enable in-app chat between session participants
• To process reviews and ratings
• To verify your identity via OTP during registration and login
• To improve the app experience and resolve technical issues
• To handle contact-us requests and special requests

Who Do We Share Your Data With?

• With session creators and participants (your name, profile photo, and relevant session details only)
• With host venues (your booking details when you join a session at their location)
• With Google Maps (your location for map display and navigation)
• With Firebase (for push notifications and in-app chat messaging)
• We do not sell your data to any third party and never will.

Data Protection

• All communications are encrypted (HTTPS)
• Authentication is handled via OAuth 2.0 tokens (Laravel Passport)
• Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text
• Data is stored on secure servers with restricted access
• OTP codes expire after a short period and cannot be reused

Data Retention Period

• We retain your data as long as your account is active.
• When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within a maximum of 30 days (excluding records required by law after your identity has been removed).

How to Delete Your Account?

Within the app (the main and most straightforward method):

• Go to your profile or settings.
• Select the "Delete Account" option.
• Confirm the request – your deletion request will be processed and your associated data removed.

Outside the app (if you require an alternative method):

• Please state that you want to delete your account, along with your phone number or email address.
• We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe (usually less than 30 days).

Minors

The app is not intended for users under 13 years of age. If we discover a child's data without parental consent, we will delete it immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the date of the update. Your continued use of the app signifies your acceptance of the changes.
